Guitarist Mike Pardew
Mike Pardew, guitarist and composer, maintains a regular performance schedule throughout the West Coast and leads the house band at Nel Centro in downtown Portland on Fridays and Saturdays.
In November of 2002, Mike was hired to join the award-winning band, Eleven Eyes, one of Mike’s favorite groups to see at the time. He performed, recorded, and toured with the band through May of 2009.
Mike Pardew has been a Jazz Guitar instructor since 1995 and is currently on faculty at several Portland area colleges, as well as the WOU/Mel Brown Jazz Workshop. Mike graduated from the University of Oregon, where he was the sole recipient of the 2004 award for ‘Outstanding Undergraduate Jazz Performer.’

The Mike Pardew Group started in July 2009 as the house band at Nel Centro, in the heart of downtown Portland. They perform their arrangements of jazz standards and original pieces every Friday and Saturday, from 10 PM to midnight, all ages, no cover!
Mike recorded new material in July for his third album with bassist Dave Captein and drummer Todd Strait.
Mike will appear with Eleven Eyes on their third album, anticipating a release soon.
